Because they host and stream the files for you, and storage is the real cost. Loom stops at 25 videos, Tango at 15 captures, Zight at 50 items. If you shoot a lot of short clips you'll hit the count long before any length limit, which is the point where a $3 to $10 plan starts to pay.
