Hypefury review: $19 a month for Twitter-first automation

Hypefury is worth paying for if Twitter/X is where your audience lives and you are promoting something on it. Our check of hypefury.com on 12 June 2026 recorded a free plan, Standard at $19 a month billed annually and Business at $49, and that evidence is now several months old.

The short answer

Buy Hypefury Buy Hypefury Standard if you post to Twitter/X most days and want threads, queueing and auto-retweets handled for you. It was $19 a month billed annually, or $29 billed monthly, when we checked hypefury.com/pricing on 12 June 2026, with a free plan to test the queue first.

Skip it if Twitter/X is one platform among several. The automation here is built for a single network, and Buffer at $5 a month per channel, verified 1 October 2026, covers a spread of platforms for less than Hypefury asks.

Where Hypefury fits

Hypefury fits the creator whose growth happens on Twitter/X and who has something to sell or something to subscribe to. It is a scheduler with a thread composer attached and a set of automations that act on your own posts after they land. That second half is the reason to pay for it rather than for a general scheduler.

The free plan is the entry point and it is deliberately narrow. Our 12 June 2026 check recorded basic scheduling with limited queues and none of the automatic features, so it will show you whether the composer suits how you write without showing you what the paid tiers do.

Standard was $19 a month billed annually and $29 a month billed monthly on that check. Twelve months of the annual rate is $228 and twelve months of the monthly rate is $348, so prepaying saved $120 across a year. Standard carried scheduling, the thread composer, auto-RT and basic analytics.

Business was $49 a month billed annually and $79 billed monthly, which is $588 or $948 across a year and a $360 gap between the two billing choices. It is the tier that adds auto-plug, auto-DM, cross-posting to Instagram and LinkedIn, and the ghostwriting marketplace, so the automations most people come here for sit above the $19 line.

Auto-plug is the feature that decides whether the Business tier pays for itself. It appends a promotion to posts that clear an engagement threshold you set, which converts reach you already have into subscribers. If your posts are not getting reach yet, there is nothing for it to amplify and the cheaper tier is the honest choice.

Against the alternatives Hypefury is a specialist with a specialist's price. Buffer was $5 a month per channel, verified 1 October 2026, which is the cheaper route for anyone spread across networks. Metricool was $20 a month on Starter, verified 6 October 2026, and reports across platforms on a flat rate. Later was $25 a month on Starter, verified 1 October 2026, for visual planning.

The pricing above was last verified on 12 June 2026, four months before this review was written, and we would rather say so than imply it is current. Read hypefury.com/pricing before you pay. The social media scheduling category holds the alternatives if the Twitter-first bet does not suit you.

Hypefury pricing

Hypefury charges a flat monthly subscription with a discount for paying up front. The figures below come from our check of hypefury.com/pricing on 12 June 2026 and have not been re-verified since, so treat them as dated evidence rather than today's rate card.

Hypefury list prices as recorded on 12 June 2026. This is our most recent check and it is several months old.
PlanPriceWhat it adds
Free$0/moBasic scheduling only, limited queues, none of the automatic features
Standard$19/mo billed annually$29/mo billed monthly. Scheduling, thread composer, auto-RT, basic analytics
Business$49/mo billed annually$79/mo billed monthly. Adds auto-plug, auto-DM, cross-posting to Instagram and LinkedIn, ghostwriting marketplace

The meter here is the subscription itself rather than usage. Four things set what you pay:

  1. Which tier you need, which in practice means whether you want auto-plug and auto-DM. Those sat on Business at $49 a month billed annually on our check, not on Standard at $19.
  2. Billing period. Standard was $19 a month annually against $29 monthly, which is $228 against $348 across a year, so prepaying saved $120.
  3. The same choice on Business, where $49 against $79 a month is $588 against $948 across a year and a $360 difference.
  4. Whether the free plan is enough. It carried basic scheduling with limited queues in June 2026, which suits someone posting a few times a week and nobody running automations.
  5. How long you want to commit, because the annual rate prepays the whole term and our figures for it are four months old.

Hypefury pricing against the schedulers

Hypefury sits above the cheap general schedulers and below the team platforms. Buffer was $5 a month per channel on Essentials and $10 per channel on Team, verified 1 October 2026, so three channels on Essentials is $15 a month against Hypefury Standard at $19. Metricool was $20 a month on Starter, verified 6 October 2026, on a flat rate with analytics included. Hootsuite starts at $99 a month on Standard, verified 1 October 2026, which is a department's budget rather than a creator's. Note that those three dates are more recent than Hypefury's, so this is not a like-for-like comparison.

Hypefury billing terms worth knowing

Two facts explain most Hypefury pricing questions: the automations sit on the top tier, and the annual rate is a third off.

If the rate card on hypefury.com differs from the figures above, the rate card is right and this page is out of date by four months. We publish the date for exactly that reason. Our creator tool cost calculators will total a posting stack once you have today's numbers in front of you.

What Hypefury gives up

Everything good here is tied to one network. The scheduling, the analytics and the automations are built around Twitter/X, and cross-posting to Instagram and LinkedIn sat on the $49 tier in June 2026 as a secondary feature rather than a reason to buy.

Auto-plug needs reach before it is worth anything. It acts on posts that clear a threshold you set, so an account that is not yet getting impressions is paying the Business premium for a feature with nothing to work on.

The analytics are functional rather than deep. You get follower growth, impressions, engagement rates and best time to post, which is enough to see what is working and not enough to run a content strategy off.

There is no inspiration or research side. Tools that charge more in this niche sell a database of high-performing posts and pattern analysis; Hypefury assumes you already know what you want to say and helps you say it on a schedule.

Auto-DM carries platform risk that no pricing page mentions. Automated direct messages at volume are the kind of behaviour Twitter/X flags, and the cost of getting that wrong is your account rather than your subscription.

The whole purchase rests on one platform staying relevant to you. If your audience moves, a Twitter-first subscription does not move with it, and the general schedulers in the social media scheduling category would have.

Our pricing evidence is from 12 June 2026, which is the weakest part of this page. Four months is long enough for a tier to be renamed or a feature to move between tiers, and the feature split above is as dated as the prices are.

How Hypefury compares

The three tools below are the ones weighed against Hypefury, and the axis is one-network automation against general scheduling. Prices are each vendor's published rates with the date we checked them, and those dates differ, so read them with that in mind. The wider field sits in the social media scheduling category.

What to test on the Hypefury free plan

The free plan carried basic scheduling with limited queues on our 12 June 2026 check. Confirm that first, because our figures are four months old and the tier split may have moved.

  1. Read hypefury.com/pricing and check the current tiers against the $19 and $49 rates recorded here in June 2026. This is the step not to take on trust.
  2. Write a real thread in the composer and schedule it. The composer is the part you will touch every day, so it decides the purchase more than the automations do.
  3. Count your posting volume for a fortnight and see whether the free queue limits bind. If they do not, the subscription is buying automation rather than capacity.
  4. Check your own impressions on a typical post. Auto-plug only earns the Business tier if there is reach for it to act on.
  5. Confirm which tier auto-plug and cross-posting sit on today. Our check put them on Business at $49 a month billed annually, and that is a feature boundary vendors move.
  6. Decide against the cheaper general option before you commit. Buffer was $5 a month per channel, verified 1 October 2026, and Metricool $20 a month flat, verified 6 October 2026.
  7. If you prepay, price the year rather than the month. Standard at $19 annually is $228 against $348 on monthly billing, and the cost calculators will total the stack.

Hypefury questions buyers ask

How much does Hypefury cost?

Our check of hypefury.com/pricing on 12 June 2026 recorded a limited free plan, Standard at $19 a month billed annually ($29 a month billed monthly), and Business at $49 a month billed annually ($79 a month billed monthly). Standard covers scheduling, the thread composer, auto-RT and basic analytics. Business adds auto-plug, auto-DM, cross-posting to Instagram and LinkedIn, and the ghostwriting marketplace. That check is several months old, so confirm the current rates before you pay.

What is Hypefury's auto-plug feature?

Auto-plug automatically posts a promotional reply to your own tweets when they exceed an engagement threshold you configure. For example: set it to trigger on any tweet getting 100+ impressions in 4 hours, with a reply saying 'Like this? Get more every week. Subscribe to my newsletter: [link].' When one of your tweets goes viral, Hypefury automatically appends your CTA (converting organic reach into subscriber and sales opportunities without manual intervention). This is a Business plan feature.

Hypefury vs. TweetHunter: which is better?

Hypefury is the better fit for creators who want Twitter/X scheduling plus growth automation, meaning auto-plug, auto-RT and cross-posting, at a low price. Hypefury Standard was $19 a month billed annually on our 12 June 2026 check. TweetHunter is the better fit for creators who want a viral tweet database, deeper analytics and AI-assisted writing, but we have not verified TweetHunter's pricing, so we do not quote a figure for it here. Choose Hypefury if you know what to write and want it distributed. Choose TweetHunter if you need inspiration and data to guide what you write.

Does Hypefury work for platforms other than Twitter/X?

Cross-posting to Instagram and LinkedIn sat on the Business plan, $49 a month billed annually, on our 12 June 2026 check. Hypefury is fundamentally a Twitter-first tool: the scheduling, analytics and automation features are all built around that one network, and cross-posting is a secondary feature. For creators managing several platforms with equal priority, Buffer at $5 a month per channel, verified 1 October 2026, or Later at $25 a month on Starter, verified 1 October 2026, give better multi-platform support.

Is the Hypefury auto-DM feature safe to use?

Auto-DM can be effective for specific use cases (sending a follow-up to people who engage with a specific tweet), but it carries real risk. Twitter/X actively flags high-volume automated DMs as spam, which can result in account restrictions or suspension. Use auto-DM conservatively: trigger only on high-engagement actions (not every reply), send messages that are genuinely useful (not purely promotional), and monitor your account health closely after enabling it. Many experienced Twitter creators avoid auto-DM entirely due to platform policy risk.

Does Hypefury have analytics?

Yes. Hypefury shows follower growth, tweet impressions, engagement rates, best time to post, and top-performing content. These analytics are functional for tracking growth and understanding what content resonates. They're notably less comprehensive than TweetHunter's analytics, which include viral content pattern analysis and deeper audience behavior data. For most creators, Hypefury's analytics are sufficient. For data-driven growth strategists, TweetHunter's analytics are worth the higher price.

What is Hypefury's ghostwriting marketplace?

Hypefury's ghostwriting marketplace connects you with Twitter content writers who create tweets and threads on your behalf. Available on the Business plan, it's designed for business owners, executives, and creators who want to maintain an active Twitter presence without writing daily. You hire a ghostwriter through the marketplace, share brand guidelines and voice, and they produce content for your review and scheduling.

Hypefury vs. Buffer for Twitter scheduling: which should I choose?

Buffer was $5 a month per channel on its Essentials plan when we checked buffer.com/pricing on 1 October 2026, and it covers Twitter/X as part of multi-platform scheduling, so it is the cheaper route if you need several networks from one tool. Hypefury was $19 a month billed annually on our 12 June 2026 check and is Twitter-specific, with auto-plug, auto-RT, the thread composer and the ghostwriting marketplace that Buffer does not have. Choose Buffer if Twitter/X is one of several platforms you manage. Choose Hypefury if Twitter/X is your main growth channel and you want automation built for it.

Is Hypefury worth it for small Twitter accounts?

The automation features (auto-plug, auto-RT) deliver the most value once you're consistently getting 200+ impressions per tweet. For accounts under 1,000 followers with low engagement, Hypefury's premium over a basic scheduler is harder to justify. The automations have little reach to amplify. The thread composer and scheduling features work for any account size, but for small accounts, focusing on content quality and organic growth before adding automation tools is the better strategy.

Can I schedule Twitter threads with Hypefury?

Yes. Hypefury's thread composer lets you write multi-tweet threads, preview exactly how they'll appear on Twitter, and schedule them for any future time. Each tweet in the thread is individually editable, and the composer handles character limits and media attachments. You can schedule threads for optimal posting times based on Hypefury's best-time recommendations or manually choose the timing.
