Milkshake review: a $2.99 mobile-only card builder
Milkshake builds a swipeable card page from your phone and only from your phone, which is both the appeal and the reason to rule it out. Our check of milkshake.app on 6 October 2026 recorded Free at $0, Lite at $2.99 a month, Pro at $6.99 a month and Pro+ at $10 a month, with annual rates on the two top tiers.
The short answer
Buy Milkshake Buy Milkshake Pro if you work entirely from a phone and want a page that does not look like everyone else's. Pro was $6.99 a month, or $59.99 a year billed annually, when we checked milkshake.app on 6 October 2026. Twelve months at the monthly rate is $83.88, so prepaying saved $23.89.
Skip it if you edit on a desktop or need to sell. There is no web editor, and our 6 October 2026 check found no commerce on any tier. Stan Store listed Creator at $29 a month on its own 6 October 2026 check and is built for selling from a bio link.
Where Milkshake fits
Milkshake fits the creator whose whole workflow lives on a phone. You build cards, swipe between them and publish, and the result looks different from the vertical button stacks that dominate this category. For an Instagram or TikTok creator who wants to be visually distinct, that difference is the product.
The free tier is the one most people should start and stay on. Our 6 October 2026 check recorded Free at $0 with unlimited links and unlimited cards, which is more generous than the free tiers of most rivals, and the trade is Milkshake branding on the page plus a shorter analytics window.
Lite at $2.99 a month was the branding-removal tier on the same check. Twelve months at that rate is $35.88, which is the price of making the page look entirely yours and nothing more. That is a reasonable amount to pay for one cosmetic change, and it is worth being clear that it is one cosmetic change.
Pro at $6.99 a month, or $59.99 a year billed annually, was the tier with the analytics integration. The arithmetic is worth doing before you choose a billing period: twelve monthly payments come to $83.88 against $59.99 prepaid, so the annual rate saved $23.89 on our 6 October 2026 check.
Pro+ at $10 a month, or $99.99 a year billed annually, added custom domain support. Twelve months at $10 is $120 against $99.99 prepaid, a saving of $20.01. If the domain is the only reason you are looking at Pro+, note that a custom domain sat on the $8 a month Starter tier at Linktree as of our 6 October 2026 check of linktr.ee.
Against the field Milkshake is cheap and narrow. Linktree ran Free $0, Starter $8, Pro $15 and Premium $35 a month, verified 6 October 2026, with a desktop editor and deeper analytics. Beacons was free to start with a 9% transaction fee on sales and Creator Pro at $10 a month, verified 12 June 2026. Stan Store at $29 a month on Creator, verified 6 October 2026, is the selling tool.
The pricing on this page was checked on 6 October 2026, ten days before this review, so it is the freshest evidence we hold on this product. That still means confirming it on the vendor's page before you pay, because app store subscriptions can differ by region. The link-in-bio tools category holds the alternatives.
Milkshake pricing
Milkshake prices per page with a free tier and three paid steps, and the two upper tiers publish an annual rate as well. Every figure below comes from our check of milkshake.app on 6 October 2026. Subscriptions are bought through the iOS App Store or Google Play, so the amount you are charged can vary by region.
| Plan | Price | What it adds |
|---|---|---|
| Free | $0/mo | Unlimited links and cards, Milkshake branding on the page |
| Lite | $2.99/mo | Removes the branding. $35.88 across a year at that rate |
| Pro | $6.99/mo | $59.99/year billed annually. Twelve monthly payments would be $83.88 |
| Pro+ | $10/mo | $99.99/year billed annually, against $120 for twelve monthly payments. Custom domain |
There is no usage meter here, so the cost is decided by which cosmetic and tracking features you need. Four things set it:
- Whether the Milkshake branding is acceptable. Removing it was the job of Lite at $2.99 a month on our 6 October 2026 check, which is $35.88 across a year.
- Whether you need analytics beyond the free window. That sat on Pro at $6.99 a month, or $59.99 a year billed annually.
- Whether you need a custom domain, which was the Pro+ feature at $10 a month, or $99.99 a year billed annually.
- Billing period. Prepaying Pro saved $23.89 against twelve monthly payments of $6.99, and prepaying Pro+ saved $20.01 against twelve payments of $10.
- Which app store you buy through, since the charge is handled by Apple or Google and regional pricing applies.
Milkshake pricing against the link-in-bio field
Milkshake is at the cheap end and stays there. Linktree listed Free $0, Starter $8 a month, Pro $15 a month and Premium $35 a month on our 6 October 2026 check, which is the same date as Milkshake's and therefore a fair comparison. Taplink was cheaper still at $3 a month on Pro, verified 11 June 2026, though that figure is four months older. Beacons was free with a 9% transaction fee on sales and $10 a month on Creator Pro, verified 12 June 2026.

Milkshake plans: Free $0/mo; Lite $2.99/mo; Pro $6.99/mo ($59.99/year billed annually); Pro+ $10/mo ($99.99/year billed annually).
This is one of the more current price checks on the site, taken on 6 October 2026, and it still carries a caveat: the charge runs through an app store, so your currency and amount can differ from the published figure. If the store shows something else, the store is right. Our creator tool cost calculators will total a year of any tier against the alternatives.
What Milkshake gives up
You give up the desktop. Every edit happens on a phone, so writing longer card copy, pasting a batch of links or working from a laptop is simply not available. For some creators that is a neat constraint and for others it ends the evaluation.
There is no commerce. Our 6 October 2026 check found no checkout, no payment processing and no product listings on any tier, so selling means linking out. Stan Store at $29 a month on Creator, verified 6 October 2026, is what that job costs.
Analytics are shallow even when you pay. The free tier holds a short window of insights and the paid tiers mainly add an external tracking hook, so the questions a growing creator asks about their page are answered elsewhere.
The swipeable format asks something of visitors. A card deck is unusual, and a share of your audience will not swipe because they do not know they can, which costs clicks on the links sitting behind card one.
Buying through an app store puts a third party between you and your subscription. Cancellation happens in Apple's or Google's settings rather than in Milkshake, and the price you see can differ from the published one depending on region.
The custom domain sits at the top of the range. Pro+ at $10 a month, or $99.99 a year billed annually, is where that lands, while Linktree included a custom domain on its $8 a month Starter tier as of 6 October 2026.
There is no team access. One account, one phone, no shared editing or approval, so an assistant updating the page needs your device or your login. That rules it out for anyone managing pages on behalf of clients.
How Milkshake compares
The three tools below are the ones weighed against Milkshake, and the axis is a distinctive mobile page against a conventional one with more behind it. Prices are each vendor's published rates with the date we checked them, and those dates differ, so read them with that in mind. The wider field sits in the link-in-bio tools category.
| Tool | Best for | Price | Where it breaks |
|---|---|---|---|
| Milkshake | A distinctive card page built on a phone | Free, $2.99/mo Lite (October 2026) | Mobile-only editing and no commerce |
| Linktree | Desktop editing and deeper analytics | Free, $8/mo Starter (October 2026) | The page looks like every other one |
| Beacons | Selling from a free page | Free with 9% fee, $10/mo Creator Pro | The free tier takes a cut of every sale |
| Taplink | Content blocks and payment buttons cheaply | Free, $3/mo Pro (June 2026) | Basic analytics and limited design control |
What to test on the Milkshake free plan
The free tier carried unlimited links and cards on our 6 October 2026 check, which is recent enough to rely on while still being worth confirming in the app store you buy from.
- Build the page you would publish on the free tier. Unlimited cards and links were included, so the free plan is a real test rather than a demo.
- Watch someone who has never seen a card page try to find your main link. If they do not swipe, the format is costing you clicks.
- Check the analytics window on free against what you need. The paid step up mainly adds an external tracking hook rather than better reporting.
- Decide whether the branding bothers you. If it does, that is Lite at $2.99 a month, which is $35.88 across a year, and nothing more.
- If you want a custom domain, price Pro+ at $10 a month against Linktree Starter at $8 a month, verified 6 October 2026, which included one.
- Compare billing periods with the arithmetic shown: twelve months of Pro at $6.99 is $83.88 against $59.99 prepaid, a $23.89 saving.
- Try one edit you would normally do on a laptop. If that single attempt annoys you, the mobile-only rule is a dealbreaker and the cost calculators will price the alternatives.
Milkshake questions buyers ask
How much does Milkshake cost?
Our check of milkshake.app on 6 October 2026 recorded Free at $0 a month, Lite at $2.99 a month, Pro at $6.99 a month or $59.99 a year billed annually, and Pro+ at $10 a month or $99.99 a year billed annually. Twelve monthly payments of $6.99 come to $83.88, so prepaying Pro saved $23.89. Subscriptions are bought through the iOS App Store or Google Play, so the amount charged can vary by region.
Does Milkshake have a free plan?
Yes, and it is generous. The free plan includes unlimited links, unlimited cards, customizable templates, free hosting, and 30 days of insights. The only trade-offs are Milkshake branding on your page and limited analytics history. For most casual creators, the free plan covers everything needed.
Who is Milkshake best for?
Milkshake is best for mobile-first creators who want a visually distinctive bio page with swipeable cards. It works well for Instagram and TikTok creators, lifestyle bloggers, and anyone who builds their online presence from their phone. It is not ideal for creators who need desktop editing, advanced analytics, or selling features.
Milkshake vs Linktree: which is better?
Linktree is better for features, analytics, and commerce. Milkshake is better for visual design and the unique swipeable card format. If you want a proven, full-featured link page, Linktree wins. If you want your bio page to look different from everyone else's and you do not need selling features, Milkshake is more creative.
Can I edit Milkshake on a computer?
No. Milkshake is a mobile-only app. All editing, building, and managing happens on your iPhone or Android device. There is no web-based editor or desktop version. This is a deliberate design choice to keep the tool simple, but it is a deal-breaker for creators who prefer working on a computer.
Can I sell products on Milkshake?
Not directly. Milkshake has no built-in e-commerce, payment processing, or product listings. You can link to external stores (Gumroad, Shopify, Etsy, etc.) from your cards, but there is no native checkout. For selling from your bio, Stan Store or Beacons are significantly better options.
Does Milkshake support custom domains?
Lower plans use the default milkshake.app URL. Custom domain support lets you point your own domain to your Milkshake page for a more professional look. You need to already own a domain. Milkshake does not sell domains.
Can teams collaborate on Milkshake?
No. Milkshake is a single-user mobile app with no team features, shared access, or multi-editor capabilities. If another person needs to update your page, they need access to your phone or login credentials. For team-managed bio pages, Linktree or Later Link in Bio offer proper collaboration tools.
Is Milkshake worth paying for?
The free plan is strong enough for most creators. The Lite plan at $2.99/month is worth it only if Milkshake branding bothers you. Pro at $6.99/month makes sense if you need Google Analytics tracking. Pro+ at ~$10/month is only for custom domain support. Most creators will not need to go beyond the free plan.
Can I cancel Milkshake anytime?
Yes, but cancellation happens through the iOS App Store or Google Play Store settings: not within the Milkshake app itself. Navigate to your phone's subscription settings, find Milkshake, and cancel. Your page reverts to the free plan features after the current billing period ends.
