Evmux review: $25 a month on an October 2026 check
Evmux is a browser streaming studio that undercuts the leaders on entry price and sells multistreaming and AI clips with it. Our check of evmux.com on 6 October 2026 recorded a free plan at $0, Basic at $25 a month and Pro at $49, with Business tiers above that most creators will never need.
The short answer
Buy Evmux Buy Evmux Basic if you stream to several destinations from the browser and want clips out of every recording without paying leader prices. Basic was $25 a month, or $19 billed annually, when we checked evmux.com/pricing on 6 October 2026, and Pro was $49 a month.
Skip it if you only ever stream to one platform, because the destinations are the main thing you are buying. Skip it too if you want the largest ecosystem: StreamYard was $44.99 a month on Core when we checked it on 1 October 2026 and has far more guides, templates and integrations behind it.
Where Evmux fits
Evmux fits the creator who wants a hosted studio with more destinations than the entry plans of better-known tools, and who would rather not pay for a brand. Everything runs in the browser, guests join through a link, and the recordings come back with AI clips cut from them, which is the feature that does the most work for a creator posting short video.
The free plan is the reason to start here. Our 6 October 2026 check of evmux.com/pricing recorded it at $0, and the known restriction is a watermark on the output, so you can run a real broadcast and see the studio under load before deciding anything.
Basic at $25 a month is the first paid step and the tier that clears the watermark. Billed annually it was $19 a month, which is $228 across a year against $300 if you pay monthly for twelve months, so prepaying saves $72.
Pro at $49 a month, or $39 billed annually, is where a creator streaming weekly with guests to several platforms usually ends up. Twelve months at the monthly rate is $588 and the prepaid year is $468, a saving of $120. That is the point at which the price starts to look like the rest of the category rather than below it.
The Business tiers are a different product sold on the same page, and reading them as the real price of Evmux is the mistake this rate card invites. Business Basic was $99 a month, or $79 billed annually, and Business Professional was $299 a month, or $239 billed annually, which is $3,588 or $2,868 across a year. They exist for long sessions and several concurrent studios, so most creators should ignore them. Enterprise is quoted rather than listed.
Against the alternatives Evmux is the cheaper multistreaming studio with a smaller crowd around it. StreamYard was free on its entry plan with Core at $44.99 a month, verified 1 October 2026. Restream was $19 a month on Standard and $49 on Professional, verified 1 October 2026, and is the specialist at pushing one stream everywhere. Melon was $4 a month on Standard, verified 15 June 2026, and is cheaper than all of them if you can live with basic layouts.
This pricing was verified on 6 October 2026, which makes it the most recent evidence we hold for this category and ten days old at the time of review. It is still a snapshot rather than a promise, so read evmux.com/pricing before you pay. The live streaming software category holds the alternatives.
Evmux pricing
Evmux publishes a free plan, two creator tiers, two business tiers and a quoted enterprise option, all priced per account. The figures below were verified against evmux.com/pricing on 6 October 2026. The Evmux pricing breakdown carries the longer version.
| Plan | Price | What it adds |
|---|---|---|
| Free | $0/mo | Watermarked output. Enough to test the studio with a real broadcast |
| Basic | $25/mo | $19/mo billed annually, which is $228 across the year |
| Pro | $49/mo | $39/mo billed annually, which is $468 across the year |
| Business Basic | $99/mo | $79/mo billed annually. Aimed at long sessions and multiple studios |
| Business Professional | $299/mo | $239/mo billed annually, which is $2,868 across the year |
| Enterprise | Custom | Quoted rather than listed on the rate card |
Evmux prices by tier rather than by usage, so the question is which tier your format forces. Five things set what you pay:
- Whether a watermark is acceptable. It is the free plan's restriction, and removing it is the first thing the $25 Basic tier buys.
- How many destinations you stream to. Multistreaming to up to nine destinations is the headline feature, and it is worth nothing if you only publish to one place.
- How long your sessions run. Long sessions are what the Business tiers exist for, so a marathon format is a $99 a month decision rather than a $25 one.
- Whether you need several studios running at once, which is the other thing the Business tiers sell.
- Billing period. Annual billing saves $72 a year on Basic and $120 a year on Pro against the monthly rates we recorded.
Evmux pricing against the other browser studios
Evmux is priced below the browser leaders and above the budget end. StreamYard was free on its entry plan with Core at $44.99 a month and Advanced at $88.99, verified 1 October 2026. Restream was free with Standard at $19 a month, Professional at $49 and Business at $239, verified 1 October 2026. Melon was $4 a month on Standard and $12 on Pro, verified 15 June 2026. Be.Live was $15.83 a month on Starter, verified 14 June 2026. OBS Studio is $0 and runs on your own machine, verified 6 October 2026. Two of those checks are four months older than Evmux's, so read the June dates with that in mind.
Evmux billing terms worth knowing
The split between the creator tiers and the business tiers is the thing to get right.

- $49 per month, or $39 billed annually. $588 or $468 across a year.
- Business Basic
- $99 per month, or $79 billed annually. $1,188 or $948 across a year.
- Business Professional
- $299 per month, or $239 billed annually. $3,588 or $2,868 across a year.

If an Evmux charge is higher than these rates, check which tier you are on before anything else, because the step from Pro to Business Basic is $50 a month at the monthly rates. Our 6 October 2026 snapshot does not record session-length or studio-count limits as numbers, so this page states none rather than estimating them. Our creator tool cost calculators will total a streaming stack across a year.
What Evmux gives up
You give up a clean free plan. The watermark is on the output, so the free tier is for testing rather than for publishing, and anything you post from it carries someone else's branding.
You give up the long session unless you move up. Extended broadcasts are what the Business tiers are for, and at $99 a month on Business Basic, or $948 on the annual rate across a year, that is a serious step up from $25.
You give up the ecosystem. Fewer guides, fewer templates and fewer people to ask than the market leaders, which costs you time rather than money when something behaves oddly during a live show.
You give up desktop-grade control. A browser studio cannot match local audio routing and scene depth, and OBS Studio at $0, verified 6 October 2026, gives you that free in exchange for a week of learning.
Our 6 October 2026 snapshot records tier prices and not the per-tier caps, so this page gives no figure for recording storage, guest ceilings or stream hours. Read those off the rate card rather than from any review, including this one.
The AI clips are a convenience rather than an editor. They cut shorts out of a recording; they do not grade, caption to a brief or rebuild a narrative, so a creator who cares about the output of those clips will still open an editor afterwards.
Finally, you give up the certainty that comes with a long track record. Evmux is the smaller name in a category where Restream, at $19 a month on Standard verified 1 October 2026, has years of reliability behind the same promise.
How Evmux compares
The three tools below are the ones weighed against Evmux, and the axis is entry price against the size of the ecosystem. Each price is that vendor's own published rate with the date we checked it, and the Melon date is four months older than the rest. The wider field sits in the live streaming software category.
| Tool | Best for | Price | Where it breaks |
|---|---|---|---|
| Evmux | Cheap multistreaming with AI clips from the browser | Free, $25/mo Basic (October 2026) | Watermark on free, long sessions need Business |
| Restream | Reaching the most platforms at once | Free, $19/mo Standard (October 2026) | 720p on the cheaper plans and light production tools |
| StreamYard | Polished browser broadcasts with guests | Free, $44.99/mo Core (October 2026) | The most expensive entry tier of the four |
| Melon | The cheapest guest-capable browser studio | Free, $4/mo Standard (June 2026) | Basic layouts and branding |
What to test on the Evmux free plan
Our 6 October 2026 check recorded a free plan at $0 with a watermark on the output. That is enough to answer every question that matters before you pay $25 a month for Basic.
- Confirm the current free allowance and the Basic price on evmux.com/pricing. Ours were $0 and $25 a month on 6 October 2026.
- Connect every destination you publish to and stream to all of them at once. The destination count is the main thing being sold here.
- Bring a guest in through the join link on a normal connection and watch for drift between audio and picture.
- Run a session as long as your longest real broadcast. If it does not hold, the answer is a Business tier at $99 a month rather than Basic, and that changes the decision.
- Download the AI clips from that recording and judge whether they are postable as they are or need an editor afterwards.
- Decide whether the watermark rules the free plan out for you. If it does, Basic at $25 a month, or $19 billed annually at $228 a year, is the floor.
- Before prepaying, price the same show on Restream at $19 a month on Standard, verified 1 October 2026, and on StreamYard at $44.99 a month on Core, verified 1 October 2026. The cost calculators will total the year.
