Chartable review: a shut-down product and what the replacements cost
Chartable cannot be bought. It closed as a standalone product in December 2024 after Spotify acquired it, and our check of chartable.com on 13 June 2026, four months before this review was written, recorded no route to a new account. The prices on this page are history, not a rate card.

Where Chartable fits
Chartable fits nowhere now, and that is the honest answer to the question this page is asked. It was a podcast analytics layer that sat on top of whatever host you already used, reporting chart positions across directories and attributing listens to marketing campaigns through trackable SmartLinks. Spotify bought it, and the standalone product closed in December 2024.
Our check of chartable.com on 13 June 2026 found the shutdown still in place and no way to open a new account. That check is four months old at the time of writing, which matters less here than it would for a live product: a closed service does not quietly reopen, though if Spotify ever revives the brand this page will be wrong and the site will be right.
The old rate card is worth recording because people still search for it. Our 13 June 2026 check recorded a free Hobbyist tier for shows under 20,000 downloads a month, Indie at $20 a month up to 100,000 downloads, Pro at $100 a month for shows above 500,000, and a custom Enterprise tier. Those were the final published figures. You cannot pay any of them today.
What the platform did well was split into two jobs, and the market has split with it. Chart position and review tracking is the job Podkite now does, at $7 a month on its Starter tier with a free plan below it, verified 11 June 2026. Download measurement that sponsors accept is the job Podtrac does, free with a $20 a month Grow Your Show tier, verified 11 June 2026.
SmartLinks are the piece nobody has fully rebuilt. They were single podcast links that routed a listener to their own app while recording which campaign sent them, and attribution of that kind is awkward to run without a large directory relationship behind it. Podkite's Kitelinks are the nearest thing on sale, metered at 6 a month on its free plan and 30 a month on Starter as of 11 June 2026.
Hosts have absorbed some of the rest. If your show already lives on a platform like Buzzsprout or Transistor, the listener analytics you lost may already be included in what you pay, which is the first place to look before buying anything new. We have not re-verified either host's pricing for this page, so treat their rate cards as unchecked here.
Two practical warnings close this section. Historical Chartable data was not portable for many shows, so numbers from before the shutdown are gone rather than exportable. And sites that still offer a Chartable login or dashboard are not the vendor. The creator analytics category lists the products that are taking payment today.
Chartable pricing
There is no current price, because there is no current product. The figures below are what Chartable published before it closed, as recorded by our check of chartable.com on 13 June 2026. That check is four months old and the shutdown it recorded dates to December 2024, so read every number here as history.

Nothing here can be quoted. What follows is what the old download bands meant and what the same work costs now, with each vendor named and dated:
- Monthly downloads set the old band: free under 20,000, $20 a month up to 100,000 and $100 a month above 500,000, as recorded on 13 June 2026. No current vendor in this category prices on downloads in the same way.
- Chart and review tracking is now a separate purchase. Podkite charges $7 a month on Starter and $19 a month on Pro, verified 11 June 2026.
- Download measurement is also separate. Podtrac is free for core measurement and $20 a month for Grow Your Show, verified 11 June 2026.
- Attribution links are metered rather than unlimited. Podkite recorded 6 Kitelinks a month on its free plan and 30 a month on Starter as of 11 June 2026.
- Your host may already cover listener analytics, in which case the replacement cost is whatever the chart tracker costs and nothing more.
What the Chartable jobs cost in 2026
Replacing Chartable means buying two things or deciding you only need one. Podtrac is free for IAB-certified download measurement with a $20 a month paid tier, verified 11 June 2026, and that is the number sponsors ask for. Podkite is free for one show or $7 a month on Starter, verified 11 June 2026, and covers chart positions, reviews and trackable links. Taken together, Podtrac's free tier plus Podkite Starter at $7 a month is $7 a month and $84 across a year. If you want the paid side of both, Podtrac's $20 and Podkite's $7 come to $27 a month and $324 across a year on those June 2026 figures.

What Chartable gives up
You give up the product entirely, which is a different kind of compromise from a missing feature. There is no plan to downgrade to, no legacy pricing to negotiate and no support queue to join, and any page that implies otherwise is not describing what our 13 June 2026 check of chartable.com found.
SmartLinks have no exact replacement on sale. Podkite's Kitelinks are the closest, and they are metered. Podkite recorded 6 a month free and 30 a month on its $7 Starter tier as of 11 June 2026. A show running several campaigns at once will feel that ceiling in a way it never did with Chartable.
Historical data was lost for many shows rather than handed over. If you did not export before the shutdown, the multi-year download and chart history that made the platform useful for arguing a rate card with a sponsor is not recoverable, and no replacement can backfill it.
Cross-directory chart coverage narrowed. Chartable tracked positions widely, where Podkite's chart data concentrates on Apple Podcasts and a handful of other directories as its own documentation describes, so a show that lived or died on Spotify chart position has less to work with.
You now pay two vendors to do one job, or accept a gap. Podtrac's free tier plus Podkite Starter at $7 a month, both verified 11 June 2026, is cheap in absolute terms, but it is two logins, two data models and two sets of numbers that will not agree with each other.
Our evidence on this page is four months old. The 13 June 2026 check recorded the shutdown and the final tiers, and we have not looked again since. A closed product is unlikely to have changed, but we would rather date the claim than imply it was checked this morning.
Finally, the search results for this product are a hazard in themselves. Dashboards, logins and resellers claiming Chartable access are not the vendor, and a podcaster handing over host credentials to one of them is taking a risk that no analytics report would justify.

There is no trial to start. The steps below are the replacement exercise, and the first one exists because our evidence is from 13 June 2026 and four months old.
- Confirm for yourself that chartable.com still offers no signup. Our check was on 13 June 2026 and a closed product does not usually reopen, but this is a five-second check and worth making before you read further.
- Open your podcast host's own analytics and write down what it already gives you. Some of what you lost may be included in a bill you are paying.
- Set up Podtrac on the free tier first. Core measurement and demographics were free as of 11 June 2026, so this step costs nothing and produces the number sponsors ask for.
- Try Podkite free for one show and watch the 6 Kitelinks a month limit recorded on 11 June 2026. If you hit it in a fortnight, Podkite Starter at $7 a month is the tier you need.
- Count how many trackable links your marketing uses in a month before paying for 30 of them. Attribution you do not read is not worth a subscription.
- Accept that pre-shutdown history is gone and start a plain spreadsheet of monthly downloads from today. A year of your own records is worth more to a sponsor than a lost dashboard.

Chartable questions buyers ask
Is Chartable still available?
No. Chartable shut down as a standalone service in December 2024 after being acquired by Spotify. Some features were integrated into Spotify's Megaphone platform, but Megaphone is an enterprise-level podcast hosting service: not a replacement for Chartable's independent analytics tools. New users cannot sign up for Chartable.
What happened to Chartable?
Spotify acquired Chartable in early 2022 and gradually integrated its technology into the Megaphone platform. In late 2024, Spotify shut down Chartable as a standalone product. The SmartLinks and analytics features were partially absorbed into Megaphone, but independent podcasters lost access to the free tools they relied on.
What is the best Chartable replacement?
It depends on what you used Chartable for. For free download measurement, Podtrac is the best replacement. For chart rankings and reviews, Podkite is the closest match, with a free tier for one podcast and Starter at $7/month, verified 11 June 2026. For marketing attribution (SmartLinks), you will need to combine hosting analytics with UTM tracking. No single tool replaces everything Chartable offered.
Chartable vs Podtrac: which should I use now?
Since Chartable is no longer available, Podtrac is the default free option for podcast measurement. Podtrac provides IAB-certified download data, audience demographics, and industry rankings at no cost. It does not offer chart tracking or SmartLinks-style attribution, but for basic measurement it is the strongest free tool available.
Can I get my old Chartable data?
It depends on when you last accessed your account. Spotify provided a window for data export before the shutdown, but that window has closed. If you did not export your data during the transition period, historical analytics and SmartLinks data are no longer accessible.
Is Megaphone a replacement for Chartable?
Not for independent podcasters. Megaphone is Spotify's enterprise podcast hosting and monetization platform, designed for large publishers. It is not available as a standalone analytics tool and requires using Megaphone for podcast hosting. For independent podcasters, Podtrac and Podkite are more appropriate replacements.
What are free podcast analytics alternatives?
Podtrac is the best free option for IAB-certified download measurement. Your podcast hosting platform (Buzzsprout, Transistor, Podbean, Captivate) likely includes analytics as part of your hosting fee. Podkite offers a free tier for one podcast with basic chart tracking. Apple Podcasts Connect and Spotify for Podcasters also provide free platform-specific analytics.
Does anything replace Chartable's SmartLinks?
No single tool fully replaces SmartLinks. The closest alternatives are Podkite's Kitelinks (trackable links for marketing attribution), UTM parameters with your hosting analytics, and manually tracking link clicks through Bitly or similar services. None offer the seamless podcast-specific attribution that SmartLinks provided.
How much did Chartable cost before shutdown?
